Abstract
The model of rational decision-making described above is difficult to apply to criminality exhibited by an individual over a given period of time. The model relates to a single, discrete decision for which the basis is given, but criminality that occurs over a period of time can, when looked at from a decision-making perspective, be assumed to be the result of a stream of decisions in which previous decisions usually affect later decisions.
