Abstract
It is generally accepted that the hyperactive reaction of childhood (Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity in DSM-III) probably represents several discrete disorders which, though similar in manifest symptomatology, differ with regard to etiological antecedents. Attempts to subclassify hyperkinetic children have been few.
