Abstract

Chromatic thresholds in three directions in an equiluminant plane were obtained from strabismic observers (both amblyopic and not amblyopic) and were compared with those obtained from normal observers. Two methods were used to factor out the variations due to age. Despite a tendency for the thresholds from the amblyopic group to be higher along protan and deutan axes, the magnitude of the thresholds fell within the statistical norms under every condition.
