Abstract

The probability of origin of extreme situations at seas connected to a large-scale radioactive contamination is rather great and is stipulated by a high concentration of shore and floating nuclear objects in a number of aquatories where decommissioned nuclear submarines (NS) are stored afloat or their dismantling and recycling are made. For assessments of danger of possible radiation emergencies in these aquatories it is necessary to establish control levels for monitoring of concentration of all significant radionuclides in the water and bottom sediments. The knowledge of monitoring control levels is necessary for calculation of consequences of radiation emergencies and planning of protective measures. Besides, the establishment of scientifically justified monitoring control levels for concentration and their recognizing by international organizations is necessary for protection of economic interests of various countries and solution of a problem on volumes of indemnification of possible damage.
