Abstract
Immobilization is a technique for working up waste materials, that is in discussion all over the world. On the one hand it should be prevented that valuable components in waste materials are, through disposal, not recovered. On the other hand, once waste materials are to be disposed off, immobilization can decrease the health risks thereof.
