Abstract

Diffusion and nuclear fragmentation of relativistic nuclei are considered in a galactic model with a halo. The inhomogeneous spatial distribution of the galactic gas proves to be very essential for the interpretation of the data on the content of secondary stable and radioactive isotopes in the cosmic rays. Constraints on a galactic wind and on cosmic-ray distributed acceleration in the interstellar medium are discussed.
