Abstract
The ARW was organized to stimulate and guide the development of 3-dimensional geoscientific information systems. The organization reflected the experiences of the organizing committee, which shaped the basic agenda, but the results of the ARW also reflected the collective experiences of the participants who were all involved in the discussions, demonstrations, and question periods following the formal lectures.
