Abstract

The ROSAT (Roentgensatellit) X-ray astronomy satellite has completed the first all-sky X-ray and XUV survey with imaging telescopes. About 50 000 new X-ray and 1500 new XUV sources were detected. The identification of these sources using digitised optical sky surveys has begun.
