Abstract
The aim of testing may be one of the following:
-
(a)
to determine the progress of some process (production control)
-
(b)
to determine the change in properties as the ingredients are varied (research and development);
-
(c)
to control batches within close limits to some standard (quality control)
-
(d)
to determine whether a product is likely to be suitable fora particular use (marketing/quality assurance).
