Abstract
A word must still be said about Scheler’s “system of conformity” and its bases for comparison. Johannes Hessen determined eight essentially different basic components of this system as delineated in its totality in Scheler’s unsystematic presentation.1 These components make clear the autonomy and irreducibility of “religion” and “metaphysics.”2 Only a few indispensable statements are necessary.
