Abstract
We have proposed a new nano-biochip based on size exclusion chromatography (SEC), which uses anodic porous alumina. Since the SEC device does not require any filling material, such as polymer gel, it is highly integrable with other bioMEMS units for sequential bio/chemical reactions. With this device, we demonstrated separation of 165-kb from 10-kb DNA and confirmed that larger molecules move faster.
