Abstract
Honeycomb lung is a radiological term indicating the presence of multiple cysts, usually throughout both lungs. These cysts vary in size from 5 to 20 mm in diameter, and they represent the end point of a number of different disease processes. The diseases which may give rise to this radiological appearance are: diffuse alveolar fibrosis (described on page 65), histiocytosis X, tuberous sclerosis and Von Recklinghausen ’s disease (neurofibromatosis).
