Abstract
The scope and the diversity of the topics which are going to be covered by the Symposium on Quantum Biology and Pharmacology of this 4th International Congress of Quantum Chemistry are particularly wide, this large-scale range of problems considered being still more evident if we take into account the communications to be presented at the associated invited posters session. This impressive dimension of this research field is not astonishing if we consider the rapid development of quantum biology during the last years, a development which certainly owes much to the two regular annual meetings in which its current progresses are being presented and discussed: the Sanibel Symposia and the Jerusalem Symposia- Neither can this Symposium here be considered separately from the Satellite Symposium on Quantum Chemistry in Biology to be held next week at Lidingo, organized by Inga Fischer-HjaImars and Anita Henriksson-Englo.
