Abstract
Zeolites have been an important component in petroleum process technology for more than twenty years — and there is considerable indication that their role will continue and will expand as utilization of our energy resource base broadens worldwide. Despite the large and growing number of distinctive structures and compositions, only a handfull of zeolites, nearly all synthetic, have achieved commercial significance.
