The Climacteric: An Update

Abstract

Unlike the menarchal age, the timing of the onset of the climacteric in our studied population displayed no variation over a considerable period of time. For a given population a statistically predictable mean can easily be determined. The onset occurs invariably at the very end of the fourth decade of life.
