B-scan in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP)

Ophthalmic Echography

Part of the book series: Documenta Ophthalmologica Proceedings Series ((DOPS,volume 48))

Abstract

Vitreo-retinal surgery has promoted new interest in the echographic examination of patients with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). Until recently these eyes were only considered in the differential diagnosis of retinoblastoma. There are very few reports in the literature of such echographic imaging, particularly with reference to B-scan (Shammas, 1983).
