Abstract
Sugar and amide nitrogen concentrations and root weight of sugarbeets were estimated using satellite data. The excess and deficient nitrogen absorption amount was also estimated from amide nitrogen concentration. The sugarbeets cultivated on high organic matter concentration soil has absorbed nitrogen excessively. The results showed that satellite data is useful to estimate and improve the productivity of sugarbeets by appropriate fertilization. In addition, the remote sensing technique can be a new nutritional diagnostic tool.
