Changes in Littoral Processes due to Construction of Nearshore Structures

Abstract

A method is proposed to verify the change in coastline form due to the construction of nearshore structures. The method involves the calculation of wave diffraction, refraction, leeward of the structure and is based on the condition that the gradient of the driving forces for the littoral currents must be zero.
