Summary
A new and comparatively simple approximate method is described to predict the isothermal creep behaviour of a nonlinear stress dependent material with an asphalt-like structure and combined viscoelastic and viscoplastic properties under arbitrary uniaxial stress-reversals. As experimentally demonstrated on poured asphalt under different shark-tooth loading histories considering different tension and compression material properties the method leads to quite satisfactory results.
