Abstract

In this paper, we present the results of experiments and computer simulations to make clear the quench process and stability in YBCO thin film superconductors prepared by pulsed laser deposition on MgO single-crystal substrate. In experiment, we investigated the super-normal transition properties caused by a self-joule heating. The influences of a high purity silver stabilizer were also investigated by experiment and numerical analysis.
