Abstract
Variations of the local field in the mixed state of single crystal Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x were studied through spin-probe method where ESR of free radical spins coated on the surface of the crystal was measured. Below the transition temperature T c, the resonance field increased linearly due to superconducting shielding effect, without any hysteresis. The linewidth also increased linearly, owing to field distribution in the vortex liquid phase, which is instantaneously felt by the precessing DPPH spins. However, below the irreversibility temperature T irr, distinct hysteresis was observed between ESR of field increasing and decreasing due to pinned vortices with complicated temperature dependences.
