Viele Patienten klagen nach einem Schleudertrauma über Störungen in der Aufmerksamkeit, schnelle Erschöpfbarkeit, Änderungen im Schlaf- Wach-Rhythmus [16]. Sie haben das Problem, dass diese Beschwerden oft nicht als Folge des Schleudertraumas anerkannt werden [6]. Die Literaturübersicht ergibt wenig aussagekräftige Daten, so dass die geschilderten Beschwerden auf einen kulturellen und psychosozialen Hintergrund reduziert werden [9]. Versicherungen vermuten unangebrachte Aggravierung mit unberechtigten Forderungen der Verletzten [12].
