Abstract
Let S1 and S2 be two near polygons and let Γ be a nonnegative integer. We will show that if S1 and S2 satisfy certain nice properties, then (a) new near polygon(s) of diameter diam (S1)+diam (S1) — δ can be derived from S1 and S2. We call these new near polygons glued near polygons of type δ. The contents of this chapter are based on the papers [29], [30], [33], [35], [38] [41], [46], [58] and [59].
