Abstract

In the first few days following severe craniocerebral trauma the classical paraclinical investigative methods of EEG34, neuroradiological procedures14 including CT scanning32,37, and enzyme titration in CSF13,18,33 have limited use, and sophisticated monitoring of intracranial pressure by computed radiotelemetry10,15,19,28,38 is available only for a few specialized clinical departments in the world.
