Zusammenfassung

Mit der Entwicklung des Automobils, mit der zunehmenden Ausdehnung der Industrie und der gleichzeitigen Verbesserung der Untersuchungsmethoden kommen Herzveränderungen durch stumpfe Traumen öfter vor und werden immer häufiger erkannt. Das kasuistische Material ist außerordentlich groß und reicht über eine lange Zeitperiode zurück, wurde aber erst in der letzten Zeit gesammelt (32). Viele Jahre vorher wurde dieses Thema experimentell bearbeitet (19), doch wurden die wichtigsten Ergebnisse vernachlässigt, bis das Interesse durch neue Beiträge wieder auflebte (2, 25).
