Abstract
This inscribed sheet of gold, first published by Eitrem in 1938, was found with three lead scrolls (that have never been unrolled) in Tomb 2, Cemetery 219, at Ballana. A small gold cross and scarab ring were also found in the grave. The Museum registry on ‘Sec V-8’ reads “#11474 Plaque, bearing an incised Greek inscription III–IVp gold. .098 x 0.55 Ballana 1931–1933. Tomb no. 2.”
