Zusammenfassung
Hormonelle Kontrazeption ist ein Teilbereich der gynäkologischen Endokrinologie und umfasst mitunter die wesentlichen Verhütungsmethoden bei der Frau. Dieses Kapitel beschränkt sich auf die endokrinen Methoden der Kontrazeption und versucht zugleich einen Überblick über die derzeit zur Verfügung stehenden Anwendungen zu geben. Berücksichtigt werden hierbei die unterschiedlichen Interaktionen mit physiologischen Funktionen des Organismus und Erkrankungen, wie auch zu berücksichtigende Überlegungen bei der Verordnung.
