Zusammenfassung
Nach einem kurzen Überblick über die normale Anatomie und Funktion des Lymphsystems beschreibt das Kapitel ausführlich das Lymphödem als schwerwiegende, meist chronische Komplikation nach tumorchirurgischen Eingriffen oder Bestrahlungen. Eine korrekte, individuell angepasste Behandlung ist in der onkologischen Rehabilitation von großer Bedeutung. Sie erfolgt durch spezialisierte Lymphtherapeuten. Diagnostik und Behandlung werden beschrieben, ergänzt durch unterstützende Massnahmen der Ergotherapie und durch Verhaltenstipps für die Klienten.
