Zusammenfassung

In der Pathogenese allergischer Erkrankungen kommt es zu einer komplexen Interaktion zwischen genetischer Veranlagung und Umweltfaktoren. So ist die familiäre Prädisposition zu Erkrankungen wie Asthma bronchiale, allergischer Rhinitis oder dem atopischen Ekzem gut belegt. Beispielsweise steigt das Asthmarisiko eines Kindes auf ca. 30–50 %, wenn ein Familienmitglied ersten Grades an Asthma bronchiale erkrankt ist. In gleichem Sinne tritt ein atopisches Ekzem bei eineiigen Zwillingen mit einer Konkordanz von ca. 75 % auf, während dizygote Zwillinge nur in ca. 20 % der Fälle gemeinsam erkranken.
