Zusammenfassung
Stürze bei geriatrischen Patienten stellen ein hochfrequentes und folgenreiches Problem dar. Eigene Daten von stationären Krankenhauspatienten der Urologie belegen, dass während des stationären Aufenthaltes 91 von 6101 Patienten zweier Jahrgänge oder 1,5 % stürzten. Das mittlere Alter der gestürzten Patienten lag mit 76 Jahren um 12 Jahre höher als das aller Krankenhauspatienten mit 64,4 Jahren. Daher lohnt die Betrachtung dieses „uro-geriatrischen Syndroms“.
