Zusammenfassung

Einige Anämien lassen sich durch eine kausale Pharmakotherapie beeinflussen, insbesondere solche, die aus einem Mangel an Eisen, Folsäure oder Vitamin B12 resultieren. Deren rationaler Einsatz wird in diesem Kapitel erläutert. Erythropoetin ist der spezifische Wachstumsfaktor, der in der Niere produziert wird; er steht in mehreren Versionen rekombinant zur Verfügung und kann bei renalen Anämien und mit großer Vorsicht bei tumorassoziierten Anämien eingesetzt werden. Weitere Wachstumsfaktoren bzw. davon abgeleitete Moleküle stehen zur Verfügung, um die Granulopoese (G-CSF, Filgrastim) und die Thrombopoese (vom Thrombopoetin abgeleitetes Romiplostim und Eltrombopag) zu steigern.
