Heinrich Schliemann war stolz auf seine robuste Gesundheit und hart im Nehmen, was körperliche Widrigkeiten anging. Spätestens vor Weihnachten 1890 hätte er jedoch lieber auf den Rat seiner Ärzte hören sollen.
