Zusammenfassung

Der Schweregrad und die Kinetik der posttraumatischen Entzündungsreaktion können einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung von Komplikationen und somit auf den klinischen Verlauf nach schwerem Trauma haben. Einige der im Rahmen dieser posttraumatischen Immunantwort beteiligten Mediatoren werden bereits in der klinischen Routine eingesetzt.
