Die Diagnostik sichert einerseits das Vorliegen der Erkrankung und verfolgt des Weiteren das Ziel, Patienten mit unterschiedlicher Prognose voneinander abzugrenzen und diese einer stadien- und prognoseorientierten Therapie zuzuführen.
