Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag stellt die drei wichtigsten sozialwissenschaftlichen Wertetheorien (Schwartz, Inglehart, Hofstede) vor und erörtert ihre Relevanz für die Coachingpraxis. Zentral ist dabei die Frage, wie ein Coach mit divergierenden Werteorientierungen auf Seiten von Klienten umgehen kann. Wertekongruenz wird hierbei als Kernkonzept verstanden. Ein mittleres Maß an Kongruenz zwischen den Werten der Coaching-Suchenden, dem Wertgehalt des sozialen und kulturellen Kontexts, in dem das Coaching stattfindet, und den Wertepräferenzen des Coaches wird dabei als Basis erfolgreichen Coachings dargestellt.
