Zusammenfassung
Ziele und Pläne zur Veränderung des eigenen Verhaltens werden oft nicht praktisch umgesetzt. Um die Kluft zwischen Zielen und Umsetzung zu überbrücken, wird ein Spektrum aktueller wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse und Methoden herangezogen, insbesondere aus der Forschung zur Motivations- und Willenspsychologie und zur Veränderung von Gewohnheiten. Sie werden in einem Prozessmodell mit vier Phasen zusammengeführt: 1. Motivations- und Zielklärung, 2. Präaktionale Vorbereitung (Umsetzungsplanung, Aktivierung der Ressourcen und Willensentscheidung), 3. Aktionale Umsetzung, Reflexion und Optimierung mit Umsetzungsbegleitung (Telefon-Shadowing und SMS) und 4. Postaktionale Bewertung und selbstgesteuerter Transfer. Erste empirische Ergebnisse aus Studien im Coachingfeld sind ermutigend. Untersuchungen mit Kontrollgruppen sind jedoch erforderlich, um zu überprüfen, ob und inwieweit die Kluft zwischen Zielen und Umsetzung durch Anwendung der Methoden im Coaching überwunden werden kann.
