Abstract
Scaffold products are designed for the substitution of partial meniscal defects in young patients with chronic post-meniscectomy symptoms. Of the two scaffolds currently available, the Actifit® polyurethane scaffold offers an interesting surgical option to treat these specific cases, and the preliminary and short-term published data have been promising. However, long-term data are still missing. The authors will present an overview of the basic science, their preferred surgical techniques, and literature results of the Actifit®.
