Zusammenfassung
Immunsuppression ist der Sammelbegriff für verschiedene Erkrankungen des Immunsystems. Die Folge ist immer eine Schwächung der Fähigkeit, sich gegen eindringende Krankheitserreger zu wehren. Es treten daher Infektionskrankheiten durch Erreger auf, die bei Immunkompetenten keine Erkrankung verursachen, oder die Infektionserreger führen zu schwereren oder anderen Verläufen als bei Immunkompetenten. Je nach Immundefekt kann das klinische Bild sehr unterschiedlich sein.
