Zusammenfassung

Als relativistische Feldgleichung bestimmt die Klein-Gordon-Gleichung die Kinematik freier skalarer Felder (Mesonenfelder mit Spin 0). Die KGE ist eine homogene partielle Differenzialgleichung zweiter Ordnung, die unter Lorentz-Transformation forminvariant (relativistisch kovariant) ist. Wir untersuchen sie hier zunächst als Gleichung für ein freies Spin-0-Teilchen, später für ein Meson im elektromagnetischen Feld, beispielsweise ein negatives Pion im Coulomb-Feld eines Kerns. Kontinuitätsgleichung und Eichinvarianz werden eingeführt, die Radialgleichung im Coulombfall wird durch Potenzreihenansatz gelöst und tiefliegende pionische Zustände in schweren pionischen Atomen werden diskutiert.
