Abstract
Data center cooling systems have cooled computer equipments. Recently, these systems have been supposed to economize energy consumption and perform effectively in various environment. So, it is important to design appropriate data center cooling system infrastructure and analyze its dependability, especially availability and reliability. In this paper, we have proposed a (n,k)-way data center cooling system which composes n units of main CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioner) and k units of spare CRAC. We have also calculated adequate amount of main CRAC units (n). In addition, optimal values of n and k to achieve a cost effective solution have been stated with a cost-effective equation.
