Zusammenfassung

Die Wiederbelebung von Herz und Kreislauf läßt sich als die Wiederherstellung einer normalen Durchblutung der lebenswichtigen Organe nach einem plötzlichen Versagen des Herzens definieren. Bis vor wenigen Jahren galt die transthorakale intrakardiale Injektion von 1 mg Adrenalin als die Methode der Wahl. Diese Behandlung führte indes nur selten und bei Kammerflimmern nie zum Erfolg.
