Abstract

It is perhaps astonishing that the rigidity criteria developed in the previous chapter do indeed apply to a wide variety of finite groups, in particular to nonabelian finite simple groups. In fact, it turns out that most of these groups satisfy some form of the rigidity criterion, at least over the field ℚab(t).
