Abstract

When frictional (viscous) terms are appreciably larger than inertial terms, the limiting case is of considerably greater importance in various practical applications. Air and water have low viscosities, and we can consider the limit of very large (high) Reynolds number, Re → ∞, which is the singular case of vanishing viscosity.
