Das Ergebnis einer Dünndarmresektion hängt ab von

  • dem Ausmaß der Resektion,

  • dem Verlust oder der Erhaltung des terminalen Ileum, das spezifische Absorptionsaufgaben hat (s. Kap. 30.1),

  • der Funktion des verbliebenen Dünndarms bzw. der morphologischen und funktionellen Adaptationsfähigkeit des Restdarms und

  • der Erhaltung der Ileocöcalklappe.
