Zusammenfassung
Die Fähigkeit, moderne Geodatenressourcen, kompetent bewerten und einsetzen zu können (Geospatial Data Literacy), ist von zunehmender Bedeutung in den Geoinformationswissenschaften, einschl. Geographie, Kartographie und Landschaftsforschung. Landschaften in einem hohen Detailgrad und auf Grundlage aktueller Software-(Lösungen) konstruieren und visualisieren zu können, stellt spezifische Anforderungen an die Geospatial Data Literacy. Dieser Beitrag hat das Ziel, aktuelle Geodatenressourcen vorzustellen und ihren vielseitigen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten für die geographische Landschafsvisualisierung anzudeuten. Abschließend werden, vor dem Hintergrund der Möglichkeiten und Eigenschaften dieser Ressourcen, die Bedarfe an eine Geospatial Data Literacy in der 3D-Landschaftsvisualisierung abgeleitet und diskutiert.
