Zusammenfassung
Die Kooperations- und Assoziierungspolitik der Europäischen Union (EU) ist Teil ihres auswärtigen Handelns (Titel V Vertrag über die Europäische Union, EUV, und Teil 5 Vertrag über die Arbeitsweise der Europäischen Union, AEUV) und dient insbesondere dem Aufbau von Partnerschaften gemäß Art. 21 EUV. Insofern hat sie Schnittmengen mit der Europäischen Nachbarschaftspolitik (ENP), der Handels-, der Entwicklungs- und der Erweiterungspolitik. Zentrale Komponenten sind Bestimmungen über den Freihandel, die wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und den politischen Dialog.
