Zusammenfassung

Much of the smartness of smart services does not originate from their digital characteristics but from their manifestation within physical settings (i.e. their smart service locus). This chapter explores this analogue, physical component of smart services in more detail and sheds light on the ways smart services are impacted by their physical context and how they impact their physical context in turn. Additionally, avenues for future research are identified.
