Zusammenfassung
Seit Ende der 80er Jahre untersuchen wissenschaftliche Studien den Nutzen, den eine Mitarbeiterberatung/ ein EAP für Unternehmen hat. Dabei wurden bisher vor allem die Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter, die individuelle Leistungsfähigkeit, die Fehlzeiten (auf individueller und Unternehmensebene), die Fluktuation und die Arbeitsunfälle untersucht. In diesem Kapitel fassen wir die bisherigen Ergebnisse zum Nutzen einer Mitarbeiterberatung/eines EAP für Unternehmen zusammen. Die bisherige Studienlage zeigt, dass die Mitarbeiterberatung in allen Bereichen positive Wirkungen erzielt, deren Umfang aber sehr variabel ist, was einerseits an der Unterschiedlichkeit der Studien liegt, aber auch an der Unterschiedlichkeit der Anbieter für Mitarbeiterberatung, mit denen die Studien durchgeführt wurden.
