Zusammenfassung
Im Alltag ist Motivation ein viel benutzter Begriff. Hat zum Beispiel ein Jugendlicher den Ehrgeiz, der Beste seiner Fußballmannschaft zu sein, so vermuten wir, dass er motiviert bei der Sache ist. Auch im Arbeitskontext verwenden wir oft den Begriff der Motivation etwa, wenn es gilt, geringe Leistungen einzelner Mitarbeitenden zu erklären. Das Konzept der Motivation ist jedoch komplexer als gemeinhin angenommen. Was sich genau hinter dem Konzept der Motivation verbirgt, wie Motivation gebildet wird und welche Folgen motiviertes Verhalten hat, wird in diesem Kapitel erläutert.
