Zusammenfassung

Randomisierte kontrollierte Studien (RCTs) sind allgemein als Goldstandard klinischer Forschung anerkannt. Dieses Kapitel gibt eine allgemeine Einführung in randomisiert-kontrollierte Studien, die wichtigsten Designs und Arten der Randomisierung und Verblindung. Es werden pragmatische RCTs als Alternative zu klassischen RCTs im klinischen Setting vorgestellt. Abschließend werden die wichtigsten Guidelines zu RCTs und entsprechende Checklisten vorgestellt.
